Position Summary

The Horticulture Research Specialist (HRS) will be a member of the LumiGrow Research Team developing experiments, meeting with growers, and collaborating with universities and research centers, in order to provide useful data regarding light for commercial production.  The HRS will manage their own experiments and work closely with the Marketing and Sales Team to write and clarify content for public and internal release.

Essential Job Functions
  • Work with the Research Team and Customers to develop experiments and trials that answer fundamental plant growth questions using light. Duties will include:
    • Design, execute, analyze, and report on a range of horticultural experiments.
    • Plan and support all aspects of the experiments and trials.
    • Maintain detailed records of protocols and outcomes.
    • Interpret and analyze results and based on prior results, contribute to development of new protocols and procedures.
    • Perform ongoing literature review to remain current with new procedures and related research.
    • Be comfortable presenting findings in a variety of formats, from informal group meeting to large conferences and webinars.
    • Contribute to the preparation of papers for publication.
    • Supervise other staff as needed, serving as a technical resource for other teams.

  • Work closely with our Marketing Team to generate content that will be of value to our customer base.

      Position Summary

      This critical position will be responsible for all aspects of LumiGrow’s warehousing operations (internal and external), inventory control, global logistics and fulfillment services (low volume products), and supply chain services as needed. This will include working collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, material suppliers, external EMS partners, 3Pl’s and forward-facing end customers. A successful candidate must have proven experience in all aspects of global logistics, warehouse and inventory management, with a good understanding of supply chain operations, via an outsourced model. The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will be accountable for the timely, effective, and cost-efficient movement of goods and inventory control. Customer delight from receipt of orders to 100% on-time delivery of products should be the mantra of this candidate.

      Essential Job Functions
      • Manage daily warehouse operations and personnel (exempt and non-exempt), for warehouse tasks such as material receiving, logistics, NPI and low volume assembly, pick and pack of all shipping, in compliance with policies and procedures
      • Implement world-class service levels for internal and external warehouse, supply chain, CS and integration operations, consistent with business needs and future requirements, while managing day-day activities to achieve strategic/tactical objectives
      • Manage outsourced global 3PL/EMS warehousing partners
      • Work with accounting to manage internal material orders for stock and non-stock items
      • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize inventory/safety stock levels, min/max target setting, and procurement/planning strategies for in-house materials and FG
